January 26, 2011 - Finalizing adding domains.  We are setting up each domain one by one.  If we haven't done yours yet, and you want to speed up the process, you can go to:

http://domainname.com.nmsrv.com/gpanel/mailadmin/?login=postmaster

where domainname.com would be your qualified domain name with no www's.  Once there you can setup a password for your domain account, and you can add your emails. This option will allow you to set your own email passwords.  If we have created your email accounts, then you can use the above to edit your passwords.

For now webmail can be reached at http://greatmail.com/cfmenterprises.

January 25, 2011 - Email Server has a none recoverable error.  Working to re-setup all email accounts.  New settings are as follows:

Incoming Mail Server: mail.cfmenterprises.com OR mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.cfmenterprises.com OR mail.yourdomain.com
Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 110
Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: 2500

Note that you MUST change the outgoing mail server port number, usually under the advanced (more) settings of your email client.  This is the major change.

Please call or fill out a ticket above to let us know what password you want to use.  By default we are using your HELM Control Panel User Name

June 17, 2011 - Email and Web might be up and down during some minor maintenance this morning.

May 27, 2010

UPDATE - Websites keep going online.  Main outstanding issue is front page extension websites that are loading blank.  If your website requests a password please email the site to support@cfmenterprises.com so we can fix that.  FTP Access instructions will be uploaded ASAP.

UPDATE - We are in the process of setting up all the websites in a different server because the corruption seems to be unrecoverable.  Websites are coming online one by one.  Please send an email to support@cfmenterprises.com if you notice any weird behavior or if a domain alias or page is not loading.

May 26, 2010

UPDATE - Restoration of the corrupted files from the bad update is taking longer than we have hoped for but it is being worked on.

Web/FTP Server had a Windows Update error late last night and is being worked on this morning.  We anticipate a resolution by 10 AM Central Time and will update this page with any new information.

Apr 29, 2010:

Please make sure you are abiding by the following email guidelines during your operations.  Failure to meet any of the guidelines below will result in suspension of your email privileges with no advanced warning.  It is imperative for everyone to follow the guidelines to avoid issues with SPAM.

1. Technical Guidelines

E-mail sent should comply with the documents listed below (some links are only available in English)
1. Anti-spam Recommendations for SMTP MTAs (BCP 30), The Internet Society
2. SMTP Service Extension for Command Pipelining (STD 60), The Internet Society
3. Remove Me Responses and Responsibilities: E-mail Marketers Must Honor Unsubscribe Claims, Federal Trade Commission
4. Basic E-Mailing List Management Guidelines for Preventing Abuse, E-mail Abuse Prevention System

Make sure your content complies with the following guidelines:

1. Sender is expected to comply with all technical standards for the transmission of Internet e-mail, as published by The Internet Society's Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), including RFC 2821, RFC 2822, and others.
2. Sender must not open more than 500 simultaneous connections to out going mail server without making prior arrangements.
3. The mechanism for unsubscribing, either from individual lists or all lists hosted by the sender, must be clearly documented and easy for recipients to find and use.

2. Adherence to CAN-SPAM Act

Senders should be familiar with the CAN-SPAM Act and ensure that their e-mail adheres to the requirements: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm

3/30 AUTOMATIC EMAIL RESPONSES

If you are using a "Support Ticket" system for your website, please make sure that you are not sending auto-responses to inquiries sent by email.  Otherwise, your system will try to send canned responses to every SPAM email sent to your account.

3/23 WEB FORMS AND SPAM
To reduce the chances of robots using your forms to send SPAM, you should have some form of verification field (enter the word/phrase on this image or answer this random question).  Thus, a robot would not be able to answer the question correctly and emails won't go out with SPAM content to you.  Makes things better for both the server and your time spent handling bogus inquiries/submissions.

8/14 SMARTER MAIL AND IE
There may be a compatibility issue with IE 5.x and the new Smarter Mail Upgrade.  IE is currently in version 7.x.  Smarter Tools (the creators of Smarter Mail) highly recommends that any IE 5.x be upgraded to at least 6.x.  If your having issues operating your Web Mail and your IE is version 5.x, you should upgrade IE at www.microsoft.com
